At NestEgg Handyman, we love a good challenge! This particular project was a great operation that involved a gazebo removal. A newly elated homeowner sought our expertise to remove an old gazebo in their newly-purchased backyard. Though deceivingly fine-looking from a distance, the gazebo had seen better days. Its weary state posed serious safety concerns and the homeowner had modern, refreshing ideas for the area. Down it goes!
The grumblesome aspect? The structure posed risks, making it unsafe for any top-to-bottom dismantling process. Ingeniously, we decided cutting it in halves and bringing the roof down was the best way to go about it. Using a reciprocating saw, we cut down each of the 4×4 posts and deployed long straps to cautiously disassemble the structure (check out the video!). Once grounded, we cut the gazebo into manageable chunks for easy disposal.
The homeowner chose to retain the octagonal platform due to its decent state. Just requiring few minor repairs and a fresh coat of paint, the homeowner decided to revamp it independently, a choice we wholly supported.
Our last act was a meticulous clean-up: raking up the demolition debris and scanning the area with a magnet to eschew any stray nails or screws. We responsibly disposed of all construction materials at the Recycle Ann Arbor Recovery Yard at a nominal fee.
At NestEgg Handyman, we are known for our exemplary Gazebo Removal Service among other handyman services. Got an old structure that needs to be taken down? Get an estimate today!.
